But I expected this to be the case. I used the Varathane Triple Thick to finish an antique table. Its a big relief work saver, knowing I only have to put on one coat not three. Excellent scratch and stain protection on interior wood surfaces.

I vacuumed washed the bare areas, allowing them to dry over night. It really surprised me how quick it dried that did save some time. Matte Triple Thick Polyurethane 2-Pack 3X thicker than traditional polyurethane to finish in one coat. This is where things started to really go south.

I stirred the polyurethane, before use. It is self leveling and since its water based so easy to clean up. I did notice a little amber coloring but it was very slight, does state that can occur on light colored wood.

Self leveling, water based poly covers up to 50 sq. I used it for an old oak table top. It worked beautifully. The product is super thick, which I think made application so much easier.

It was easy to see where applied, so I could continue the wet edge. After letting it cure for a day, I now have an old table top that looks years younger. One note: It happened to be super humid the day I was using polyurethane, so it did take a little bit longer dry tough. It seemed that it was immediately absorbed into the raw Pine wood.

The polyurethane has a thick consistency. Clean up was a snap with just soap and water. The can does state that it is a self leveling polyurethane so I laid down in manner would normally not do and did level really look great.
